Best deal on 7.62x51/.308 right now?

Need to feed my Norinco M305 with something cheap. What's the best deal going?

If you can find some local norinco please let me know, otherwise xm80 at wanstalls or reliable

Shipping on ammo is what kills most deals, unless there is free shipping I have to source it local, always.

I have some hirtenberger at home I won't be using if you want to buy it. I think I have 11 boxes of 20 rounds. I'm in North Vancouver.

nope not when you factor in shipping, OP is in Vancouver

I was thinking of the CSC price as an "index" price - the Hirt ammo was brought in en masse a couple years ago, and got spread around among a lot of dealers. It pops up at ma and pa shops as well.

Tenda has it for 75 cents a round with free shipping when you spend $300 or more.

That's actually a pretty good deal.

I just bought a case of hirtenberger to pull all the bullets for my lab. I was sad the cases are berdan or I might have bought another .308.

Also bought a pile of green tip 5.56.

Bullseye London wasn’t the best price, but I talked to him and he seemed like a pretty legit guy to deal with.

QUOTE=grelmar;14927937]Hirtenberger surplus works out to $0.76/round.

The 1980 and newer Hirt is Boxer primed apperently. My 1983 is boxer and I have some 1980 to shoot next time I'm out and I will confirm that. That said the Berdan primed 75 was the most accurate in all my guns.
