hi all i was wondering i have a friend from england coming along, and two other army buds comming out for a hunt the fall. I am new to northern Alberta been posted here 2 years ago with the army, last fall i went up to whitecourt I got one buck but it took me a while i was a little disapointed i spent alot of time walking about in the bush with little to no success, I am used to hunting in open country in southern Saskatchewan where there is fewer places the deer are but long shots are key. this year i am determind to be more lucky I got some cam nets and grunt calls as i figure still hunting might work better ie watching over a meadow on a high feature down wind, we are heading up to whitecourt from Nov 8-12 does anyone have any good advise or tactic for this type of place, lots of trees some open meadows but mostly bush in mid November any info apreciated
