Best drop leg 1911 holster

Well if your issued the browning HP I personally always found the Blackhawk serpa series to be best. While there's isn't a hp model hokster from them the 1911 model works great
The safariland with the thumb lock is great to. Until you get it dirty. Then it jams up.

If you are dead set on a drop leg holster, and you want a good one, then Safariland is the company to look to. It's what the professionals use. That said, most shooters woud argue that you are better off with something other than a drop leg, but I don't think you're looking for advice, just recommendations so I won't go there. ;)

It's just that by the time I'm all geared up for 3-gun, my Blade Tech holster has to worn on my pants belt. I thought I'd be a little more comfortable with a drop leg.

There are disadvantages to having a small waist on a short torso body.

I picked up a right hand rothco last summer, it works good. It is fully adjustable to accept all frame sizes, I mounted an under barrel flash light/laser combo on my M&P 9 and it fits in perfectly, no snags when drawing or re holstering. It also has a spare mag pouch on the front.

Many of the Safariland drop leg holsters are suede lined too so they are nice and gentle on your shooter. Safari land is the choice of most professionals.

Wifey dear just came up with a solution .....

I'm wearing my Blade Tech with the mounting bracket high. All I have to do is reposition the bracket to lower the grip. Think I'll try it .....
