Hi All,

The subjet says it all, in your opinion and more importantly your Experience what is the best electronic powder scale dispenser?

My budget is nothing over $1000.00.

To be used for handgun and riffle powder (HS6, IMR 3031, H4350, etc.).

Thank you in advance!
Seabast.

Fx-120 + autotrickler v3 is $1250. The rest are all $6-$700 and from the research I’ve done, all preform around the same. Chargemaster is most popular therefore has the most hacks and upgrades. It would probably be the “best” out of that group.
There’s the matchmaster now for $1350. It gets mixed reviews but is usually compared to the autotrickler.

It seems like RCBS discontinued the Chargemaster for the Matchmaster. I do have a used Chargemaster available. I'm not aware of any other good options in your price budget.

Thanks for pointing out the Fx-120. Not cheap but an valuable option.

It sounds like you were shopping around, have pull the trigger on any of them?

I read you cannot get part form it anymore so it kind of make me think not to go with the Chargemaster....

Best one, hands down, is the Autotrickler V3. Pricey, worth it IMO. For a more reasonably priced option, there is that Chargemaster Lite. A good unit. Simple and pretty accurate. Close but a bit more finicky (my dispenser part finally bit the bullet and went off to the happy reloading grounds and I have had to clean the display and keypad contacts twice now) is the original Chargemaster. Yes, I have all three. Knowing what I know now, and being able to choose between the three, something that wasn't available at the time, if I was starting over, I'd bite the bullet, cry once, and get the Autotrickler V3.

Fx-120 + autotrickler v3
ALL OTHERS ARE NOT IN CLASS OF FX-120 AUTO

If you are serious about precision reloading, then spend extra $350 over your $1,000 budget.

I used to reload with a RCBS chargmaster, I was getting extreme velocity spreads of 30 FPS.
All other factors held constant, when I switched to an FX-120 with the Autotrickler this spring, I brought that exact same load down to a 5 FPS extreme spreads.

The guy who invented the autotrickler is a Canadian F Class shooter.
This package was/is very quickly adopted by F Class Shooters around the world.
I would say it is the new standard in precision reloading for this sport.

This package is also waaaaaaay faster than anything that major brands make.

Few other scales out there are provide as much resolution (i.e. sensitive enough) to pick up one kernel of extruded powder.... the FX 120 is probably the better priced one too
