Actualy I got this recipe here from this site a few weeks ago...
since then I went to the Pet Store and bought a big bag of crushed walnut shells, put it into my RCBS tumbler,
added a generous drizzle of NU car polish,
and voila : the cleanest and shiniest cases I ever pruduced...
even much better than with all the expensive commercial media I used to use before, I even bought a bottle of reactivator which did nothing...
Just want to share with you...
and Thanks to the Guy who originaly posted it.
Cheers

I used to put Nu-Finish only in my corncob, but with time I've found that it dried too quickly and made extra dust, now I'm using the following recipe :

I've got coarse ground corncob from a local farmer, and in it, I'm mixing 1/2 Rapid Polish from Dillon, 1/2 NU-Finish car wax and one spoonful of turtle polishing compound. Rapid Polish ain't drying as fast as the car wax, and the polishing compound puts a little extra dose of very-fine abrasive which is good for this shiny look. Nu-Finish, polishes as well, plus it leaves a thin protective film of wax on the casing, which helps prevent oxydation, and makes sizing even easier (especially on pistol brass, since you usually don't put extra lubrication).

I'm adding a dash of Rapid Polish & Nu-Finish for each new load (CV-2001, so those are huge loads)

You're welcome :D

If you want to take your now extremely clean, but waxed brass down to bare, OMG shinny metal, tumble it again for half an hour in clean, nothing added to it walnut.

I actually put enough NuFinish into the mix that my brass comes out looking dirty from the dirt that's collected in the wax. Then I throw them in fresh walnut for half an hour.....and.....oh my God....the shine :D

I shouldn't take too much credit though. I discovered it on my own, but I think it's been posted here before.

I got 8 years out of a jug of green Lyman cob $20.00 Some-one on here posted about putting used dryer sheets in it when tumbling, great idea. Am now on a jug of Tuf Nut, seems a bit slower than the cob but works well.

I toss a couple of small tufts of Never Dull batten in with my lizard litter.Cases come out clean and shiny.I only use 2-3 pieces about half the size of a cotton ball in a load, and then toss them after that, so a can lasts a long time.
