Best flash hider for a shorty 5.56?

I plan on replacing the A2 birdcage on an 11.5" upper.

The barrel is accurate, although teh flash is considerable so close to yourface.

Options:

Phanton or Vortex?
Is there anything else?

What he said. I sold Armedsask a R33 and he couldn't believe the lack of flash.

Problem with short barrels, is the powder is still burning exiting the barrel. So you might cut 70% of it.

With my 18.5 inch barrel the Rooster33 flash suppressor has ZERO visible muzzle flash.

You should try my 7.5" Bushy! You can feel the heat! I'd recommend the Krinkov as it directs the blast away from you & not just eliminate the flash.

Unless you plan on fitting a suppressor to your shorty (which in Canada means LE or MIL) there is no good reason not to go with the Noveske Krink unit.
Personally - I dont like the aesthetics of them but thats me, and its not a good reason.

The Rooster, Smith Vortex or the Phantom are good options as well but not as effective as the JN Krink brake
