Best glue to fix 20 plus years old Smith revolver rubber grips

It's soft rubber grips. Looks mint besides 1.5 inch crack at the butt end of the grips.

Preudent I should ask for suggestions first for brand of rubber glue first. I only have one shot at this and rather not take an educated guess. I'm thinking of the shoe glue brand found at any hardware store.

I always have some 'Shoe Goo' around. It sets up fast, easy to clean up... sticks almost anything together.
Let us know how it turns out.
 
Thx for the advice everyone. I'll post an update when I get around to it fix. I do have some shoe goo somewhere but it's likely no good anymore.

CA glue supposedly works great. But I see shoe goo working better because it's flexible.

I thought about just buying new. But the original one looks mint besides the crack. Since I'm not going to use it much, I'll try and fix it first.
