Best grippy stock coating that is locally available?

I have an old firearm with a cheap, slippery, plastic stock. I would like to spray coat it with something grippy and durable. What is the best product you have found that would be available at my local Cambodian Tire, Home Depot or TSC? I would appreciate your experience-based advice. Thanks!

Textured spray paint then cover with color of choice
Stippling
Or grip tape (the crap they put on skateboards)
Gloves

My choices in that order.

Give it a light sand and hit it with Dupli-Color truck bed liner in a spray can. The other option is to mask off the area you want textured and apply JB-Weld, Devcon, or whatever epoxy you choose and dab the coated areas with a sponge for texture. Both options are cheap, effective, and easy to touch up.

I like to use what is called wrinkle paint, comes in a spray can and gives the whole stock a nice texture.





Kinda hard to see in the photos but it is real easy to do and looks excellent when done right.

Update: I ended up using Plasti Dip from crappy tire. Worked great! Very grippy and durable.

You don't say how thick you want it to be.

Truck bed liner is great stuff but you need to get all of the existing finish off the stock first, if it's wood.

For a composite stock, any good spray on resin based coating should work fine.

I have seen black, cloth backed sand paper glued to the areas where the most slip occurs using Contact Cement. It looks out of place but it works better than anything else I've seen.

When prepped properly this stuff is great, just ended up spraying a buddy's chrome bumper with it.

Used spray on 'stick-um' found in any base ball supply place for a while for ISU(ISS now) bullseye. Not on synthetics and it left a sticky coating on my hand though. A bunch of rubber bands will do it too.
I think one of the Pachmayr "Tactical" Grip Gloves would work. Thingy that does exactly what you want for Glock pistols.

Update 5 months later: The plasti dip provided a nice grippy surface, but eventually started peeling off. Not a permanent solution.
