Best high volume trimmer ?

That's pretty sweet.

I think that what I would do though is buy a cheap drill, a bracket for mounting it to a benchtop and a foot switch. Then I'd lock the drill trigger down so it's always on and use the foot switch to operate the drill and use a Lee case trimmer to trim the cases.

I use Lee trimmers in my cordless variable speed drill, then I also chamfer them while they're still in the shell holder. Lee is cheap to buy (
probably less than $50.00 for all your calibers) and as fast as almost anything I've seen & no adjustments to fool with. I do up to a couple of hundred when I get at it.

I really like my Forster "Power" case trimmer. I can turn the necks and trim to length at the same time, or do one or the other.

I have had this one for 15 years and I would not sell it. Of course you need a drill press....

I have a Lyman Universal Case Trimmer that I power with a cordless screwdriver. Works great as a drill throws the trimmings around too much. I can usually do about 75 to 100 round /hr with this set up. I want to get a carbide cuttter for it tho as the one I have seems to be getting dull. Have done lots of trimming with mine and highly reccommend it.

the RCBS Trim Pro is the fastet one next to that super expensive one up above. I don't like the way you have to adjust them, but once set they are dead on. it trims for length and if you like chamfers as well, if you buy the special head. Otherwise you just trim for length and ten debur and chamfer yourself.

I do that, but I hold the drill in a padded vice.

It's fast and has worked great for over 15years for me. :)

I use the lee trimmer but the accuracy is not always right up to snuff. Good enough for hunting i guess but bench resters would probably be disappointed.
The primer pocket or flash hole not sure exactly what you call it , sometimes has burr's on the inside and thus the length can very. Once again you pay for what you get!! I have measured brass and sometimes there is quite a difference.

i find my lee trimers work great... no setup time at all... You just can't trim the cases to a custom length unless you modify the gages... and you could only shorten them. As to saskhunters comments... I have not experienced any difference. Actualy it sounds like your not using the base to hold your cases... and only holding the shell and botoming it out on the inside of the case head?

The guide should never touch the bottom of the case, however I also deburr inside & size the flash hole & uniform the primer pockets. I do about 75-100 rds. per hr with my cheap & simple rig. A variable speed drill is a must, others are to fast:)

I buy all my reloading supplies from wholesale sports... they have been good to me(mail order anyway). They will send you a free catalog, or just phone them up and they can help you. I have asked for some things that are not in the catalog(like lee universal case expander) and they had some.

I have a dedicated trimmer made by Sandia die company, 3000-5000 cases an hour, trims a 5 gallon pail of .223 in about 25 minutes(less set up time). Little pricy though.

I set up a dedicated tool head for the 1050 using a Dillon RT1200b trimmer. It's a ##### to adjust, and you most definately want to have the headspace guage handy, but once it's set, it's pretty well set for life. (Until you get a funky batch of federal brass, but that's a different story.)

Pics??

I bought the Giraud trimmer although I had considered the Gracie. The Giraud trimmer solves all the problems I encountered with the lower priced trimmers - slow to use, out of square case mouths, and erratic case length.
