I just got a CZ75b in satin finish and I am wondering what is the best holster material for not showing marks/ wear on the finish? I have a real cheap nylon holster made by bulldog and it works at the range but it would be nice to have a nice one.

The only critical thing is to keep the holster CLEAN! ! ! !

Plastic or leather is fine. It's when dust and grit becomes transferred to the holster that it gets ugly. The grit embeds into the material and then scrapes at the gun every time just like sandpaper. So keep the inside of your holster CLEAN and it'll be kind to the gun.

One made out of puppies and kittens
If your really worried about wear on the finish dont holster it, like bc said you can reduce it by keeping your holster clean I use a kydex one from soley canadian.

if you buy a generic holster it will wear the finish, just because it is desgin to fit any gun, it will rub in uncommon areas of the gun.
Custom made holsters will rub the finish off too, but only in very specific areas. Custom made, high grade leather holsters (not production made) like Alessi, which are custom made for a gun, the leather has been pre fitted to your gun so you can expect very little wear or same amount of wear like in a kydex holster.

The hide of a baby seal works equally well!

Would I get bonus points for collecting my own baby seal. The white fur would look great with a silver gun.

I know it will wear some but was wondering if one was better. I hear Glock and Kydex work great due to the finish on the Glock slide.

Thanks for the input

Any leather holster will wear the bluing. Just the nature of leather. A lined leather holster will wear less.
"...collecting my own baby seal..." Get you arrested and fed to PITA these days.
