Best knockoff scope/red dot

I saw a video about a fake acog that actually held zero, seemed pretty decent.

Until you shoot 7 12ga slugs rapid fire. Cheap knockoffs are hit or miss. Mostly a miss. Vortex, Bushnell, Primary Arms and Holosun
are the cheapest I would go for reliability.
If you mean a .223 semi, then maybe a NCStar or Sun Optic but I would never trust one in a match situation.

Yeah I was thinking 308 or 223. I know you get what you pay for with anything especially with optics, but is there an exception?

I had a fitco 4x on my slug gun and 3.5" turkey gun and 458 wm. It now stays on my 17 mach 2. Iirc the shipping cost more than the scope. It's surprisingly bright and clear
I wouldn't trust it on a far away big game hunt but i've used it to do load testing on some hard kickers and they didn't kill it. It tracks perfect
My 458 wm has killed 2 vortex scopes

Really don't know but I know Sun Optic has a lifetime warranty. I've had to use their warranty when I busted up a light/laser unit with my shotgun. Went to LGS and walked out with a new one. I don't mount it on a shotgun anymore though!
I think their RDS are a good price so worth a look.
You're in BC so should find their stuff easy. Sun Optic doesn't seem to be represented on the east coast.

I still have an older Simmons Blazer 3-9x40 stashed somewhere that did a long tour on a 30-06 and then another one on a 12G Shotgun.
It resolutely holds zero and it is surprisingly clear. Never tried it at dawn/dusk though.

Buy once cry once, buy Nightforce,

Lol.

Guy is looking for a cheap (CHEAP) optic. The obvious product for him is a Nightforce.

There are decent optics that don't cost you your first born. Everything has its place, but I suspect the guy isn't a 1500 meter or F-class shooter.

Taofledermaus tested said FAKOG with 12g slugs, and supposedly it held up well. Time will tell I guess.

Had a few make scopes that looked like eotech and aimpoint. I don't think it's worth it. They were 40$ from China deals.

1. The parallax error put off my quick shots under 25 yards.
2. during a bright day it was harder to see.

I'd check out the Holosun line. Almost as good as an aimpoint and parallax error less than 1moa under 25 yards and free after 25 yards. I use holosun 403 model (like aimpoint), it's unreal and got used for under $200 on gun nuts.
