Best LER scope for mosin?

I was going to go with the ATI mount and drill the receiver, then I decided I didn't want to spend the time or money to do that and track down a bent bolt and am going to punch out the rear leaf sight and just mount a scope to the dovetail with some solid rings, or try to, i've herd varying stories about how effective this is for a mounting point.

LER scope suggestions?

I just got one of the AIM LER scout scopes off amazon. Came fast, looks clear and clean. Haven't mounted or tried it out yet. I asked this same question a few weeks ago and started a thread and noone responded :-( hahahaha check ebay and amazon and take your pick. Those are the cheapest ones i could find and there are alot of reviews on amazon of people who put them on mosins. The mount i am going to use i got off ebay. Called ACE Equipment or something. it was like 40$ shipped from ebay. It uses some locking bolts and bolts to the dovetail mount with top tensioner screw. The two rings are one piece with the base. Check that out too. When the rest of my stuff arrives i'll post some pics
 
I believe in quality glass, so so any of the Leupold IER scout scopes would be good, my fav would be around the 5x to 8x format set up.
 
im working out a deal right now with a fellow forum member for a used bushnell trophy XLT 2-6x32

Should work ok, will post some pics when it the rifle and the rings are here and assembled.

Depending on the eye relief, Rifter that should perfect!
 
I bought the AIM ler off Amazon and have been shooting the #### out of it with no issues. Dont waste your money on overpriced glass.....it ain the 80's anymore.
 
Just go on Amazon.ca and check out the ler scopes . You need about 12 inches of eye relief and AFAIK the Bushnell is about 20 inches.

Aim makes a reputable scope, so does hi-lux which is carried by wolverine. I used to have an NC Star on a mosin I sold and it was a great scope. Held zero for as long as I owned it. It was the illuminated version. Amazing bang for buck.
