I'm looking for a brake that offers the absolute best recoil reduction performance.

I noticed the SJC Titan isn't sold in Canada so I was debating either machining it myself or buying a newer Precision Armament Hypertap brake.

Anyone have any experience with these muzzle devices?

I used to run a Lantac Dragon, it was very good at mitigating recoil but the blast is not very fun to deal with. I switched over to a Surefire warcomp and find it much more comfortable to shoot, though it does not mitigate recoil as well as the Lantac.
PA M4-72 Severe-Duty also very good at reducing recoil, I have a spare for sale if you're interested.

Best recoil reduction comes from rear-angled gill brakes. That hypertap looks intriguing.
I'd look hard at the APA little b@stard and the APA Answer as well. Alot of guys seem to rave about the Area 419 Hellfire, but I've never used one.

Yeah I was looking at the M4-72, but the company also makes the Hypertap brake and states it has 10% more reduction over the M4-72.

I use Lantac Dragon as well and have two of them, but they are slightly difficult to index. Plus I don't think I made any friends at the range who were 1-2 lanes over from me. But for keeping the barrel down for follow up shots, it is fantastic.

In terms of good performance and value, I have discovered the MDT Elite brake. Installation is a breeze and performance is great. Canadian company and price is much cheaper than the Dragon.

As was said above, the MDT Elite brake is awesome and works great, but on short barrels rifles like an MRA it almost shakes the filling out of you're mouth.

Found this neat mdt vid.

For .223, "absolute" best recoil reduction will have more variables then just the brake. Ammo, barrel length and weight all in play.

I have some heathens which are 3 port I think, which work just fine.
