Best muzzle break for VZ 58

What are you trying to achieve with the brake. That is the question. You want noise, flash etc. No one ahould have a problem keeping a vz58 centered with just the end screw protector.

I have an ak-74 style slant brake that i love on mine. I put it on my brothers csa-58 and it made the ar-15 stock slap into our cheeks hard enough to cause bruising. I never figured out why.

Ive got a half moon on mine and it keeps the already manageable recoil more manageable, aside from looking cool

I've had a bunch of muzzle devices and brakes on different Vz's over the years, and my favorite overall has probably been the "special forces" brake Corwin Arms used to sell. The issued military one is also good.

I'm going to agree with this.

It isn't the best "brake" per se, in terms of reducing muzzle climb etc. But it makes up for it in other ways - really clean lines and snag free. It's the one I ended up sticking with after trying a bunch.

The "square" brake from Corwin was actually the best performing brake of the ones I tried, in terms of eliminating muzzle rise and felt recoil - not that x39 has a lot of recoil, but eliminating it just lets you stay on target and keep squeezing the trigger effortlessly for faster follow up shots. The down side to it, is that to me looks kind of clunky, and spending a day with it attached, kicking around the farm, every time I set it down, or against a hay bail or tree, the square brake would collect grass, hay, leaves, twigs, etc., it just wanted to grab and snag things.

But, like I said, in terms of performance, it was the absolute clear winner. If you do most of your shooting at the range, or want to run a VZ through a 3-gun match for shiznits and giggles, I'd go with the square brake. If you plan on using the gun in the field as a coyote gun etc. (and the 58 is a spectacularly good coyote gun), I'd track down one of the special forces brakes on the EE.

It was designed to compensate for the natural pull to the right of a right hand shooter. So there is a left handed version as well.

For me it is best... the two-peice Czech Special Forces is a tight second with the Slovakian being third.

There are others but they cost almost double. For the money these are the best I find.

My CSA in 5.56 is rocking the Dlask brake and it's a considerable change in the amount the gun moves. Before it would bounce up a bit, and now it's just realllllyyy slight. Can place my red dot on whatever I'm shooting and blast away without having to adjust for recoil, whereas before without a muzzle device I had to pace myself more and take that slight amount of time to reacquire the dot. And that's with rifle clamped as hard as I can into my shoulder.
