For the NP-28 the top end parts won't be a bit deal, it will be the parts for the receiver because it's double stack. I had an NP-29 at one point. There is only a one round magazine capacity difference between them.

If you want to change alot of parts go with the 29. If you like a bigger grip and don't plan on changing anything on the lower the 28 would be ok.

Anyone with pics of the 228? I would buy one if it did't appear to be finished with a file.

The frames used to crack, but didn't they redesign the rail to stop that? I remember a post on here a few months back showing how they did it.

Yeah there was an issue a while ago about the NP22 and 34 rails/frame cracking. If you dig around you might find that post in here that talked about a fix that Norinco appearantly did. It had picture in it too. I can't find the exact post though, try searching it.

i tried typing in the search "norinco np22 fix frame crack etc" i got nothing

Mine did crack after about 2,000 rds. There was a thread here where someone posted a link where they showed pictures of the problem area and the modifications they apparently made.

Yeah same one I saw. Can't find it though. Also don't know if they already made the mods on the ones we are getting. Maybe call Marstar and ask them.
