Just in the process of purchasing an Accuracy International AX .338LM and am curious as to what scopes you guys are using/are the best. Cost isn't really a concern. I shoot out to 1000+ yards and am wanting to get into F class shooting.
Depending on the range that you would like to shoot F Class on, your .338LM may not be allowed.

Can someone clarify is .338 is not allowed ANYWHERE for f-class, or is it range specific?
Thx.
Good Evening
Your tactical scope will work for F class no problem The builder of Tangent theta uses a 3x15 at matches all the time... a couple of well known brothers in f class use 25x powdered scopes.
your 338 is prohibited because of bullet dia not cartridge size, f class bullet limit is 8mm .314. DCRA has speed limits and everyone can conform to the limit but you can't make your 338 bullet smaller
From ICFRA
ICFRA rule f2.2 An ‘F’ Class Open (F/O) rifle may be of any calibre up to and including 8mm and the overall weight must not exceed 10kg including all attachments
(such as, but not limited to, its sights and bipod, if any). NB: An ‘attachment’ is defined as including any external object (other than the competitor, his sling (if any) and
his apparel) which recoils (or partially recoils) with the rifle, or which is clamped, magnetically or viscously held, or in any other
way joined to the rifle for each shot, or which even slightly rises with the rifle when vertically lifting the latter from its rest(s).
If cost really isn't a concern you would be hard pressed to find a better scope then Tangent Theta to compliment your 338LM. 5x25 with 30mrad (103) elevation it will get you well past 1000.
All the best
