Best pellets for Crosman Optimus .177

Hello I recently picked up an Optimus .177 and it’s the 495fps model. I also picked up a tin of the Crosman Superpoints they are 7.9 grain. Looking at all of the options Crosman had for pellets I’m wondering what will be best for accuracy and power. A lot of options anywhere from the 7.4 grain destroyers to the expensive 10.5 grain piranhas. Or at that fps does it even make a difference?

For best accuracy potential in any springer air rifle -- whether it's a modest one like a Crosman Optimus or a higher quality Air Arms or Weihrauch -- the best pellet is a round nose diabolo pellet. Target shooters often use flat nose pellets for the cleaner holes they produce in targets. Some round nose and flat nose pellets are available in different head sizes and this is often the key to best accuracy. Among the better quality pellets are brands such as JSB Exact or H&N Field Target Trophy. Avoid gimmicky designs.

Diabolo pellets are slim waisted.

It's based on how well you can shoot a spring piston airgun. As they don't shoot like a regular gun. You can run the best pellets in the world, but if you dont master shooting a spring piston, its be like running match ammo in shot out bore.
