Yes, I have small hands. I try to hide it by stuffing socks in my gaunch but no matter how much I do that everyone still notices:D So I am thinking about buying a modern pistol, preferably in 9mm, that fits my hands. For the most part double stack magazines really don't work for me. I really enjoyed shooting the Beretta 92F but it was simply too big. I currently have a Tokarev TT-33 that fits my hands well enough but I'd like a more modern gun. Recently I took a liking to an HK P7 but it is a little dear for my budget. What else is there?

Try the "Noisy Cricket" lmfao

Any 1911 variant, or Browning Hipower. Also many new plastic guns come with backstraps that can make the grip smaller.
I hated the trigger reach on a double stack Sig but I love the 2022 with the smaller grip.

CZ-75s are pretty slim with Hogue wood grips. The width is comparable to a single stack 1911 with standard thickness grips.

Browning Hi Powers are also reasonably slim for a double stack gun, but not quite as slim as a CZ.

SIG P220s are another option worth considering.

See if you can find a dealer near you that stocks the STI Spartan in 9mm This is a 1911 style single stack pistol that is quite slim and won't break the bank and they work great as well.

The Sig 226 e2 is designed for people with smaller hands. My duty pistol was a regular 226 and I loved it. With the smaller grip it would be perfect.
They also do the 229 e2 as well.

I am 5 feet 2 and belive me I am quite short. I curently use a HK P2000 and love it. I also have a 1911 they both fit me but... the HK fit me bether.

If you have smal hand using the mag release and slide stop might be hard. The german pistol will fix that since it's located on the triger guard! As for the slide stop, the pistol is smal and is build for both left and right handed people.

Any single-stack 1911, SP01 Shadow (even with factory grips) or any CZ75 variant - Baby Eagle included, XDM with small insert, HK P2000, P226E2, etc. - basically, there is quite a few. I also have small hands (size 7), and the only pistols that make me uncomfortable are the Glocks, Original (non-E2) Sigs, and Berettas. Given your price restrictions, I'd say a CZ-75 variant or STI Spartan. HTH.

IMO, a 1911 with a Flat Mainspring Housing and short trigger will offer the smallest grip and shortest pull, of any 9, 40 or 45 caliber semi-auto pistol.

This would be my suggestion as well. A 1911 can be modified with flat or arched mainspring housings, long and short triggers and thicker or thinner grip panels. You can tune it to your hand pretty easily.

But if the 1911 platform doesn't turn your crank, then try either an HK P2000 or an HK P30/P30L (the P30 series is a newer evolution of the P2000 design). They are easily have the most adjustable grip of any modern handgun.

As mentioned multiple times, a single stack 1911 suits small hands well. I know, I have small hands as well. Another pistol not mentioned yet is the Norc NP-34 (P228 clone). I have one with Hogue grips (not the finger groove ones) and it fits my hands quite well. Definitely better than any other double stack 9mm I have handled.

:agree:

IMHO, the 1911 style pistol is best for people with small hands.

I have a number of 1911's (STI, Para, Colt, Kimber and Taurus). I like my STI pistols the best. You can order an STI 1911 model pistol with slim grips at no extra charge.

+1 for P2000...the wife is small and she loves hers...and with the extended base plates on even I like it...

Nice to see I am not the only one with this issue

your answer is the s&w m&p with the small grips, its about 700 with 2 mags and is a great fit, or you can get the m&p pro for about 800.

I have had mine for 3 years and love i

I too have relativley smaller hands and I just picked up a Sig Sauer 1911 C3 compact from questar and this gun is perfect for my hands. I would recommend it to and will everyone. Go to questar and take a look at it.

My wife was looking for a handgun and we searched for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time! In fact I was starting to think we would never find something she liked. Nothing was off limits, and the two Pistols she liked the best was the 1911, with the flat msh, and the M&P (she purchased the M&P). They are a good deal and the triggers aren't that bad.

The M&P in 9/40 or even 45 (grips are very close to identical) with the small insert. If your hands are very small, but you want to be able to drop a mag without changing your grip, simply move the mag release to the right side of the gun and use your trigger finger (so quick it's scary). If the trigger really bugs you it can be fixed with the quick installation of an Apex sear. The Ruger SR9 is a nice, slim pistol too.

I used to think I am about the smallest hand guy in this hobby. Anyway grip size is no longer important to me. I found trigger reach is affect the most. Some gun is quite long trigger reach and some has shorter. The Ruger SR-9 is about the best feel for a small hand so as any 1911 single stack.
