Looking for fully rifled 18.5" or 20" at the longest. Anyone know the best place/best price in Canada? Do not want cantilever, rail does not come back far enough.

Will also consider buying the 870 combo (20") and then selling the gun itself but will think about that after exhausting 18.5" options.

BTW, I have tried several searches but have not found the answer to this question although I'm sure it has been asked before! If you have a link to previous posts with this info, I'd appreciate it.

Price for new is more or less at par based on what I've found at different places as I was looking for one a while back. EE would be the best option in terms of getting a good deal. Anyway, here are a few retailers that you may wish to look at.

Ellwood Epps (ON) should've some.

Gagnon Sports dot com shows a couple with rifle sights that on their site (Look under "Barrels").

Cabelas Canada.

Mossberg makes a rifled barrel for the 870. Outdoor Action in Ottawa on St Laurent use to sell them good prices.

Western Gun Parts probably has 870 barrels. Remington does not make an 18.5" fully rifled barrel that I know of.

Out of curiosity, what sort of slugs will you be shooting? The rifled barrels are only intended for sabot slugs.

Thanks everyone for your help. I found a 20" barrel at Gagnon today on my way to Mosport. From what I could find, they had the best price and I got mine (fully rifled, iron sights for $200 + tax). He said it was used but it looks mint...not a mark on it. He had a new one that they wanted $249 for.

Yes they do and I found one but the finish did not match my receiver so I passed on it. Good price though.

There's almost always something on the EE

I looked through but it seems I'm not the only one looking and they get scooped up FAST!

Yes, sabots only. This will be a dedicated deer/bear gun. I could have sworn I saw an 18.5" barrel online somewhere online but I think you're right and I was actually dreaming.

Bass Pro in Vaughan always has the rifled deer barrels.

They do and they're not cheap. I spoke with a really nice salesguy there and we went through everything they had. Cantilever/fully rifled was $379! 20" fully rifled/iron sights was $319.

Anyway, I wanted to address all these responses in case anyone else is doing the same kind of homework. Thanks everyone for your help.
