Best place to buy Leupold RX 1000i rangefinder?

Do your research and you will not buy a leupold rangefinder. That unit tested absolutely terrible.It wouldn't range 1000 yards, not even once. It would range 800 yards only 50% of the time and that was off a tripod !!!

I agree with Canuck. I have one, not exactly sure of the model but it's about 4years old. It's supposed to range out to 1000yrds but I've never had it do anything over 800 and that's if I hold it against something steady. I tested it one day against a buddies Bushnell that cost less and his was far superior. It works good enough for me but I wish I had bought something else.

Edit: just checked and mine is the rx1000.

As mentioned already, I'd keep looking and read some reviews. My pal had one of those units and it didn't work most of the time.
