Best place to find crushed walnut

I'm looking for a place to buy a 5kg or so bag of crushed walnut in the Edmonton area - or anyone that I could buy some from so that I can tumble with it.

Any leads?

Pet stores sell it a lizard bedding see if any local stores carry it. I get my corncob media from Wally world for $6 a bag and it works well with a cap or 2 of nufinish polish.

Use the pet store bedding.
It's finer than the gun store stuff and doen't stick in the primer pockets as bad.

A friend of mine that consults on a drilling rig gave me a 50lb bag of walnut and he said they have it around regularly. If you have a rig buddy try him.

Princess Auto sells it in 50 lb bags for $40.00. At my age now, probably a life time supply.

Just a little forewarning over the Princess Auto walnut, it is very dusty compared to the stuff you may be used too. I have a lot of tolerance to dust but it even has me winnowing most of the dust out on a windy day out front of the shop.

I always add a little liquid polish (Nu Finish) which mitigates the dust issue pretty much.

Its really less 'volume' than you might think. One of those Frankford Arsenal containers is what, 5lbs? That's about the size of a gallon milk jug (or less).
I split a bag with a shooting buddy.

FWIW the bag I bought (still sealed) actually weighed about 45 lbs....... 50 must be Chinese lbs, lol.
