Best places to get 3.5 inch steel shotgun shells?

Looking around for ammo and there seems to be just a few retailer with scarce product and availability... where would one find 3.5" shells that are affordable and in-stock?

I do, but the cheap good loads are not available here... only in SK stores

Marstar, one of this site's sponsor has them at $21.95 a box. But shipping is going to eat into your savings, not unless you buy it by the case.

I bought Federal Speed Shok for $16.99 but they are back up to $33.99. These were 12gA 3.5" #3's.

Some guy on reddit put together an aggregator: http://arsenalforce.ca it searches most of the retailers in Canada and show's the stock they have available. Shipping is going to make you upset. You're probably better off to call your local shop and ask them to look around in house for you. I got the last two in town flats that way.

Is there a migratory bird season open in your area still? Most retailers are not going to restock on a product that most people are not going to be looking to buy in the near future.

That is in the New Year, I think MNR call it early goose season to help the farmers move the geese away for spring seed planting.

OP....ordering ammo online is cheaper than buying local in many cases, as long as you order enough to offset shipping costs.

Yes our snow goose season will be here soon, and I have some 3-1/2" loads to use up then. I typically never purchase 3-1/2" but they were old stock, on sale for less than the 3". But once these are gone, I won't be buying any more 3-1/2".

Trying to get some before the season, so I have time to pattern the loads, make additional purchases or change chokes.
Then maybe I can't blame. It on the ammo anymore.

It's almost never the ammunition. Go shoot skeet or sporting clays, and you will soon realize what the problem is. lol
