I got the chance to handle the usp 45 and the M&P45
Surprisingly i liked the Smith more!

Me too, M&P45 ergonomics are way better than the Glock 21.

My love for the G21 isn't so much how it feels in the hand but how accurately it shoots and how utterly reliable it is. My G21 and G17 have never jammed and they feed any reload/factory ammo. I am talking minimum 10,000 rounds through them. Gen 3 of course.

Dunno if it's 'the best' but I REALLY like my M&P45. However you need to shoot as many options as possible. What feels good to one person may not work for another...

I only own a Glock21sf, in 45acp polymer pistols anyway. So it would really validate my choice, if you were to also choose that. It must be the best, otherwise I would own something else. BTW, If I did own something else, that would then obviously be the best.

It'd be nice to shoot a few before you buy... I wasn't able to do that... I took a chance and bought a used M&P on the EE (although it is a 9) and am very happy with it.

+1 To that, i love mine too, but i am a ruger freak!
there was a fellow on here who once said " I only own two firearms, but i rent hundreds!" try them all! to buy a pistol and shoot it is the only way you will make a good descision, buy and try it! i think that should be a slogan on any gun store window, the exchange makes it so easy to swap guns you will find the one that fits for sure or maybe the five that fit
