Looking for some help with a powder choice for 303 brit and 8x57 mauser. If possible i would prefer to buy just one powder for both loads but i have no problem buying 2 different powders. I am new to rifle reloading and it seems like there is a hell of alot of powder options to consider. Does anyone have any help they can offer?

Thanks alot

Reloader 15 and IMR4064 have worked well for me in the 303. IMR4064 and Varget are doing well in the 8mm. I've heard 4350 works well too. Lots of choices out there that will work.

IMR4064, IMR4895, H4895 will work very well on a variety of bullet weights in those cartridges. They are versatile general purpose rifle powders and you can't go wrong having a can on the shelf.

I use IMR4895 in both .303 Brit and 8x57. I shoot these 2 calibers the most and wanted one powder for both just to simplify things. I've gotten great accuracy in both calibers using a variety of bullet weights. They even seem to be accurate in -25 weather which I've done extensive testing during extreme cold.

BLC-2 was created for the .303 and works just dandy in the 8x57. My go-to powder to get the original 8mm ballistics.
