best price on a lube/sizer?

I bought one here on the EE for $65 + shipping last year. They come up fairly often. If you want new, check with several sponsors on this board.

That's a wicked price! What model?

Got mine from rouge river arms new in the $180+ range, a Lyman 4500.

All my sizing dies and top punches were from Southern shooter supplies on eBay. $30 per punch.

I was in Calgary Wholesale sports one day and under the counter glass display was a brand new RCBS lubesizer in there with a price tag of 79.00 , everything important was there, Just No box, die wrench and missing the ratchet wrench.

That one came home with me as those parts are easy to rreplace. I also got a used Lyman 450 at a gunshow for 70.00 with a sizer included. Just got be on the look out for them.

One I use for soft lube in pistol, the other for Hard lube for rifle.

ouch, optics planet has some brutal prices for shipping...

Cabelas wont ship the casting kit, so my two options are drive to cabelas and get my balls busted by the CBSA (+12% gst) or buy just the 4500 from wholesalesports for 175(+15% hst)..the melter in the casting kit is a throw-away anyways but the casting kit is a good deal IMO.....

Magma Engineering is in Phoenix so US, BUT, the star lube sizer feed through is great, I do 1000 an hour easily while watching TV, the lube is under spring tension and the lube is pumped into the groove. They ship to Canada no problem at all. At least have a look.
I still order additional molds for the Master Caster and shipping time is minimal.

If you want the furnace from the kit pm me............

Lyman Stuff

I called Lyman on their toll-free 1-800-225-9626 number & spoke to the lady about shipping to us Canuks directly through the USPS, which they will do. She mentioned they ship to Canada just about every day so I am going to order some Top Punches & a couple more sizing dies with my credit card through their website.

Don't even have to go chasing this stuff wasting gas & time doing it. How easy is that?
Should have it in a week to 10 days,.....yahoo!:)

Lyman 450 for $60 at a gun show last month was my best buy. Similar to above, I now have one for my Alox based rifle lube and this one for pistol/black powder lube.

I did just order a new adjusting screw for it from Lyman, since this one was buggered by pliers and I broke it trying to chase the threads with a die.

If you are not in a hurry, shop used and save a lot!

I was given a Lyman 45 outright, and bought another at the Calgary Gun Show for, I want to say $90. It was under a C-note anyway, and had a pint jar with 14 or 15 sizers in it, and a bunch of matching nose punches.

$60-$80 seems to be a pretty common list price for a used 45 or 450.

If you find a Star for under $200 grab it and grin!

Cheers

If price is an issue, get the Lee sizer for your caliber for $20 or so and hand lube or pan lube. The Lee sizer installs gas checks and sizes nose first, which helps the odds of getting the driving bands concentric with the bullet body.
If you reload handgun, especially in large volumes disregard this post. I only reload rifle, and have always thought my money was better spent on molds and other things.
