Best red dot ?

Would anyone have some experiences with Red dot scopes and hunting ? I am looking at putting one on an Omega M/L and was curious if it is worth it or not and if there are any brands to avoid ?

I dunno which ones are good or bad, but the little cheap one I've got (came with my Horton crossbow) is awesome. I like it so well I'm seriously consdiering pulling the scope off my .303 British and plopping a little red dot on it. (because it's not like I would ever take a 100+ yard shot at a critter anyway).
