Best reticle for L R target

fine target dot since you already know the distance - mil dot ranging is unecessary and cluttered. I don't like stuff obscuring mirage... just my preference. if you use 1/4 or a 1/8 MOA dot, you can hold off using dot widths

What Ian Robertson and Obtunded said...

What these three said.

F-Class is known distance shooting so a Mildot reticle is really unneccessary.Plus the reticle lines are too thick and the reticle is too "busy" for this type of competition.

A Fine target dot reticle is better for straight F-Class shooting.

Hk: Bloody hell!
I agree fully with Steve; even though I haven't actually applied it in rea life I've messed around with the concept quite a bit and it's far more precise and much quicker than a mil-dot reticle.

Which reticle is best for long range F class target shooting? I have a Musgrave 308 target rifle with RPA sights that i shot last summer.

A simple fine cross hair. Not the Leupold fine target reticle like in their 36X scopes, thats too fine.

I'll step in behind Barber, but not too close to him! :)
so what... we're at... 2 vs 3 between crosshairs and dots

I don't like cluttered at 1000, enough to be worrying about in matches without wondering did I hold on this hash or this one or this other one over there... or that up there or this other one down below... we know the distance so hold or crank!

if your the operational bipod type... guess we know where that'll lead ya...
