I have a heavy barrel 10/22 and it has a fixed X9 scope on it. I was doing 25 yard shooting today and have trouble seeing at that distance. I want a long range scope that will be crystal clear at 100 yards and have insane intensity at 25/50 yards. Like I mean I can see the ink dots in the letters on the targets.

Any suggestion? Also give me the high end price ones 300-500 and the low end choices 100-250. Thanks.

Sightron S3 but over your buget.
Please look at 4scopes.com
I bought my sightron scope from them, Saved about $200 compared the Canadian dealers. Save another $75 on Burris rings.
Also received my scope in two days!!!!!! NO hassle No extra charges, just GST. All duty was in the shipping cost. Shipping ironically was almost the same price across provinces compared to US to Can shipping.

Look for scopes in which the parallax can be adjusted, and pay attention to the minimum distance for which it can be adjusted. Some of the higher mag range scopes with side parallax adjustment only adjust down to 50 yds, so this will make it impossible to shoot at 25 yds with high magnification. I've run into this myself with a nightforce 3.5-15, but I don't mind it. Another example are the sightron S3 6-24 scopes, that have a minimum focus of 40 yds.

The other form of parallax adjustment available on some scopes is called adjustable objective (AO), and this is done by rotating the objective bell. While this is less convenient to use (relative to side focus), they can often be adjusted down to a lower yardage.

you can use an older leupold 6-18 with ao, or you can buy a weaver 36 or sightron 36. both have ao and will give you the kind of power you are looking for. the leupold is more versatile but the weaver or sightron will allow you to read the ink at 200 yards. buy the leupold used the others new.

sightron s111 is out of your price range and not needed mots br 22 guys just use the entry level sightron or weaver. it really is good enough.

Sightron sII 6-24x costs around $500(non-bigsky model...use one on my silhouette 22...decent for the money). Or else they have a 36x fixed as well I believe in the SII. Check out mystic precision's site as he has some good cheap target scope options.
