Best scope for $1000?

Im looking for a scope for around $1000 with the following attributes:

max power of 12-24
Weight around 24oz or less
mil or moa reticle, prefer christmas tree, but if it has nice turrets christmas tree not necessary
eye relief 3.5 or greater
quality glass

Iv been shopping and comparing for so long im confused. Initially I thought the Athlon Midas was the best quality and couldnt be beat, but now im hearing about QC issues and poor designs.

What is the best $1000 scope in canada?
 
You didn't describe what you are going to use it for.. and 12-24 is a MASSIVE margin of zoom. For benchrest target shooting I don't use less than max power, and for PRS shooting I still use more then 12 most of the time.

FFP, MIL, 10MIL revs per turret spin, real reticle with 3.5" eye relief or better, ...5-25 Vortex Venom, but be prepared to send some money to get 34mm tube rings.

Sold my Midas Tac 6-24, costs more and the eye box is far better on the Venom to me.
 
I run a 6-24 midas TAC on my 22 and just got a 5-25 midas TAC for my kids 22. No issues with either. The 6-24 used to be on my 6.5 and I took it out to 1000 regularly with no tracking issues. My buddy has the venom and I'm not a fan. The reticle is too busy and the glass isn't good.
 
Where are you guys finding 5-25 Midas Tacs for under $1k?
I don't mind my 5-25 midas tac, the glass is decent and it tracks like a champ. I have no experience with the 6-24 version, but I'd buy another 5-25.
There isn't much out there that really checks most boxes. The Vortex Venom checks alot of boxes but is heavy as hell.
The Arken EPL4 may be worth looking at. They are around 24oz, $750 before tax/shipping, and apparently track well with decent glass.

There's a Midas Tac 5-25 in the EE right now at $1000 shipped, used.
 
K here's a question. What is a better value, Helos 4-20 or Tract Toric 2.5-15x44? used for hunting and steel out to 800-1000m. Where would you spend your money?

For $1K you can get the Arken EP5, which is Arken's flagship 5-25x56mm Optic with Japanese ED glass. I have one and it is a definite improvement over the earlier Arken SH4 Gen 2 6-24x50mm rifle scope. These scopes offer an OUTSTANDING level of performance, quality and durability which punches far above their retail pricing. Yes, Arken SH4 or EP5. There is a seller on fleebay who has an export permit and does warranty if needed also. Price is excellent and he does package deals with the mounts available.
 
I bought the Veracity 3-15x50 Ballistic E1 FFP on sale for $1,000 and put it on my Bergara B-14 LH Trainer in 22LR.
So far I am really liking it, but I have yet to start playing with the reticle for distances, as I am still testing ammo at 50 yards. Adjustments are easy to make and glass is clear and bright.
