Best scope mount for an No4Mk1?

S&K Insta-Mount for Number 4 (Enfield) Rifle.

Sits in the cup where the rear sight normally sits.

Rock-solid and accurate. Scope may sit a little high for your taste, but that's minor.

They make 2 models: one for their own rings (which are really nice but expensive), other for standard Weaver rings (which you supply to your own height preference). Be sure to order the right one!

Do have fun!

Addley Precision no.4 mount is a solid bolt on mount, no permanent mods to mount it and it is see through allowing use of the irons. I’ve used one for a couple years now and it’s been rock solid, holds zero 100%.

I'm using an S&K mount (S&K rings) on a No 4 Mk1 and 2 different style Addley Precision mounts on a No4 Mk1 T(partial) and a P14.

No issues with any as far as strength or accuracy affect.

They all require the use of cheek rests - the T has the correct wood rest. The others are strap-ons with a little foam to get cheek weld high enough. The AP mount for the P14 sits about 1/2" higher at 3" from bottom of eye piece to top of stock so it need a little extra stuffing. And that is with about the lowest weaver rings made.

As Smellie says if you get the S&K, go with the Weaver rings then you can fit them to your scope.

Have fun with it!
