best scope mount for the TC Encore

Ok, I am getting a lot of emails (1-2 a week) on what type of scope mount and rings I use on my gun (encore endeavor) so ill show you.

First is the EGW (Evolution Gun Works) Scope mount They sell 0 MOA and 20 MOA mine is a 0Moa There site is egw-guns.com they are real nice to deal with I have orders close to 10 of there scope mounts in the last 2 years. They charge 35-40 for the mount & $20.00 shipping to Canada

Next is the scope rings there Weaver Grand Slam solid steel rings “cross lock rings”
I buy them at my local cabelas store. In the past year I got well over 20 set’s of them and I love them!! i think i pay 25 bucks for them

also what I used for scopes on the guns are
on the 7mm I used the Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x50mm BDC bullet drop compensating reticle
and a Nikon Omega 3-9x40mm Muzzleloader Riflescope BDC250 bullet drop compensating reticle on the 50cal

now you may ask Y do I have 4 rings on the gun? Well I like the look of it. And I don’t want my scope to move lol… i know you don’t need to put 4 of them on a scope unless it is a big bore hand gun.

I know that TC stands for "Top Company" when it comes to there muzzle loader's but how is the Nikon Omega glass on this set up? This rifle/scope combo was going to be on my "next to purchase list" but for some reason I just love having the bigger bell's like a 50mm or 56mm. So what is it like to shoot this rifle durring low light or in rainy weather? Is it still clear also the BDC on the muzzle loader is it bang on at the ranges they advertise? Plus how are you liking this rifle set-up?

I find the scope is real nice. I never used it on a deer in low light yet. But on targets it is a real nice scope. Lights it right up like most 50mm do. And I find that the bdc is right on tested it up to 250yards on a target.

I got “lost” (some what) in the bush with it this year. 2000-3000 yards from the car when my gps stopped working.. Then it started to rain real hard on me. Scope was covered with h20 and it did not fog up at all and was still clear even with the rain on it.


Right now I got I think 5 bucks with this gun. And I don’t know if I can buy a better gun/scope combo.
