Well Sunday was a great day I shot a 94 on our club sporting clay course. I think that ties the highest score for that course. It was a long time coming. I was stuck shooting high 80s for long time. Then after some instruction, and a small stock adjustment and alot of time on the skeet range, my scores started to improve. Shot 91 last sunday and 94 this sunday.
Glad to see some return for my efforts.
I know this is no big deal But had to tell someone.

Congrats! I just shot my first round of sporting clays on the weekend and ummm, lets just say it was equal parts humbling and addicting! Can't wait till I get back out there again but it will be a while before I am in the 80's let alone ninety-frickin-four! Well done.

Best I've done on a clays course is 88/100. 100 straight in trap. And 74/75 in skeet. Station 5 high house has robbed me 3 times of 75 straight in skeet. I seem to shoot better skeet then then trap nowadays. But my club just opened 5 stand so I shoot that now.

I have shot some pretty good scores but never the same course twice. Even on the most fluffy of sporting courses I have never shot past high eighties. Whatever way you measure it, 94 is a heck of a score. Congratulations! I am envious. I would rather have a 94 at sporting than 100 at trap.

Our course is hunters clay, mostly closer in targets, with tough angles, and fast in and out birds. Alot of clubs seem to be moving everything back, making it it tougher by making it longer. My average on these course is more in the high 70s.
There is one other memeber ,at our club that shot 94 and he told me he has never repeated it. With sporting clay the course goes through changes several times a year to make it more interesting. Wind and weather also have enormus effect on scores. I have to tell you that getting some sound instruction is key. The coach could see cracks in my game that I had no idea. It was 20 year of trap before I was exsposed to sporting clay. It is my addiction.

Congrats!

I like the sound of the 'hunters clay' course. Sounds like a challenge! I shot SC recently at a SW Ont club and although the course is very nice, the birds were too easy.

Nicely done. My first time out I posted a 56 and have gotten progressively worse by three or four every time in go out. Should have been shooting today but got called into work

Wrong. A 94 is a big deal. Great shooting and you're showing great consistency and steady improvement (high 80's - 91 - 94). That shows you're really on your game and not just having one great day. Keep it up!

94 is indeed a BIG deal. I prefer Hunters Clays style courses. 60 yard teal and 50 yard crossers are too extreme. Congrats on a fine score.

94 is huge - you are the Man!

I shot a 139 of 150 at a registered shoot once. It was exactly one year to the day from my first shoot.

The coolest part was I was a B shooter and a couple of the classy "top dogs" came over and wrung my hand for such a good score. I always thought very highly of them for doing that.

I haven't been able to better that score and probably never will.
