Best Semi-Auto 22LR

The best one? A remington 552 speedmaster,, hands down! They are very pricey new around $700.. But if you keep an eye on the equipment exchange once in a while you can find a good used one for $3-400

A big part of accuracy is also the trigger, and the 10/22 has the worst trigger I've ever used on a rifle.

You should try my CZ 513 sometime then. Short of some sort of concrete/sand mix being injected directly into the trigger area, I can't imagine a worse experience.

Wow that's a lot more replies than I had expected, thanks guys!

I will definitely look into the Marlin 60 option, but they are hard to find. If someone has one I'm interested :)

Just ordered the stainless Marlin 60. Lots of online help out there showing you how to lighten the trigger without additional cost. Real accurate out of the box & Boyds has TactiCool or thumbhole stocks, if factory doesn't do it for you. A classic favourite.

To the OP:
Go to the Wholesale Sports link below...fix the spacing first as I had to follow CGN rules about hot linking non-sponsors. They got some Marlins 60s.

Finally ended up with a Marlin 795! Shooted 500 bullets with no jam, I really like this little gun!

They didn't have any extra magazines left in the shop, do you know where I could find one online?

Cabela's Canada has 30 of the ten round magazines (.22LR 10-Sht Nikl 1988+) in stock right now. But do try and find one from a site sponsor first if you can.

Thompson Center R55. The only semi .22s I've seen that can out shoot a R55 Benchmark are custom 10/22s that cost over twice as much. That's just my experience in nearly thirty years of shooting though, take it for what it's worth.

I love my R55. Just did a 10 round rapid fire group that measures 3/8" x 9/16" at 25 yards. This was shooting 10 rounds in 5-6 seconds and using cheap CCI Std Vel ammo.
