Best Shot Maker

Evening Gentlemen,

I've recently been bit by the casting bug and was introduced to shot making as well.

If I were to start making my own shot at home what sort of equipment do I need to get started and which shot maker is best?

I have a Littleton shot maker but have not run it in years. Killed hundreds of ducks when we could still use lead.

Oasis bought Littleton IIRC, great little units.
I just bought a set of #6 nozzles for mine

I was looking at the Oasis shot maker, seems like a good little unit. I didnt realize that Oasis had bought Littleton, good to know.

What do y'all use for a cooling medium? I've read some use laundry softener??

I made a homemade unit similar to the Littleton/Oasis shot makers . . . I just ran some shot earlier this afternoon. I use fabric softener as coolant.

I use RV anti freeze for coolant.

Do you dilute the fabric softener or just use it straight? Same question for the RV antifreeze?

I use straight fabric softener, no dilution.
