Best shot you ever made

For me i cant forget a shot i took with my Marlin tubefeed 22M scope with a 5X50X60 Sightron on a marmot at 125 yards, i was shooting for the eye and this is were it went.

This was a memorable shot

I did not make the shot, my dad did, I was with him when he shot a coyote in the eye and the bullet exited the opposite side ear. This was at about 100 yards. The coyote was running away, thought he was safe, stopped and looked back, bang. It was the perfect shot for saving the hide. And with a (my) Remington 740 in 30-06 with a 3-9x40, on 3X none the less!

A coyote with a Ruger 6mm Remington feeding on a dead cow with a fair wind from right to left.
Held about the length of the coyote into the wind and so had about 4 1/2 feet of drift.
Paced at 368 to the kill and 386 back up. Salvaged by the youngster at the ranch who sewed up the exit wound.

Standing freehand, a woodchuck in Ontario at 196 paces with my .270 Win Savage 110 shooting 124 gr cast bullets in a strong breeze L-R. Zeroed at 100 it was about 12 inches of drop and 14 inches of Kentucky windage. Hit him centered in the chest as he was standing up. 196 paces would be about 190 yards as I am usually about 103 paces/100 yds. I was shooting a lot of lead at that time and know that rifle WELL.

200 meter deer.
Not a particularly impressive shot, but I did it with a 4 MOA gun so there was no room for mistakes. It dropped and didn’t get up again.

Whitetail buck 22 November 2005. A single shot from 30-30 Winchester 94 with Williams FP rear site 260 paces.
Dead right there and shot from offhand position because I was standing amongst half grown winterwheat. No wind to speak of about 9:30ish AM. Lots of summer practice beforehand.

Years ago on a whim I had my gf throw her scrunchy in the air. I put a 38sp through the middle w/o touching the material. Pure luck.

A bull elk moving at a fast trot at 260 yards. I had all of a couple seconds to count antler points, line up and fire as he crossed a pipeline. Got him through both shoulders with my old Ruger .308

My best shot would be , when on my 50th birthday at 7:30 am approx , I shot 2 coyotes with 1 shot, 7mm 120 gr Barnes , out of the bathroom window.
Was lined up on 1 coyote and noticed another one walking behind the first one , so I waited and when the back on got right behind the first one I shot , to my amazement it worked
I ranged the shot after turned out to be 313 yds, my boy was not believing me , so I showed him were to go look ,
Him and a friend came back with the 2 coyotes.

My personal best isn’t much to brag about, 300’ish yards on my first solo ram.

My gal on the other hand, can teach me a thing or two. All I told her here was that she had roughly 36” of bullet drop, she did the rest.

Years ago, when we hunted with dogs. I was walking a logging road, when I heard the dogs pick up a chase far in the distance. Then I heard what sounded like a small tornado moving fast through the bush. I got down on one knee and aimed my rifle down the overgrown logging road. The deer jumped out of the thick brush, touched the road once and vanished on the other side in the blink of an eye. I fired the '94, just as his chest met my line of sight. I heard no noise after that. I walked down the road to see if I'd hit him. He was laying by a puddle on the opposite side of the road. I'd cut the top off the heart. A nice eight pointer.
