I am about to buy a new pump shotgun and would like to have opinions here. I already have a Mossy with bead sight and never use it more than 25 yards so far and have no experience with ghost ring. Also not familiar with the rules for each dicipline.

I will eventually go for PPC and/or 3 guns and wondrering wich sight is the best? is a regular bead enought or shoul i have ghost and what is the main advantages/disadvantages for each?

Other question, can i have a pistol stock grip or the regular stock is the only way to go? what are your taught?

All of these answers will help me choosing my shotgun. (Binelli Nova tactical or 870) Thanks!!

For PPC and IPSC shotgun, I have the 870 with factory slug barrel and rifle sights and a PG stock.

You can go Ghost Rings, but there is a learning curve.

As for the stock, I suggest that you try the PG stock before you buy.

Where are you? If the Ottawa/Petawawa region, you can try mine.

Why did you select the rifle sight? ghost or bead sight wasn't the way to go? and what is the advantage for each one?

Thansk for the invitation! I do already have the pistol grip on my Mossy, just wondering what is authorize in PPC/3 guns

Thanks for help!

It was what I had, hunted deer with it, and never saw the need to change.

Bead doesn't give the same sight picture every time the gun comes up. As I said, there is a learning curve with ghost rings.

The only rule for PPC shotgun is 20ga minimum, but there are other rules for IPSC. You will need to read the shotgun rule book.

Ghost rings rock when it comes to fast targeting. My 14" Mossberg and 870 could put 5 slugs into an area the size of my fist at 30m as fast as I can shoot it.
