best sniper scope

I'm a noob with the optics stuff, but I believe Germany wqs always ahead of the curve when it came to optics. Could be wrong though.

German and Austrian optics had the best glass. Most K98 snipers used commercial optics. Only optics suited for military use were the ZF4 found on the FG42, StG44, G43, and some K98s. On that note a K98 with a ZF41 is not a sniper. Think DMR.

Germany's Zielsechs (6x) ZF39 and ZF4. They still make the best optics today (S&B, Hensoldt).

in my humble opinion, tracking on a sniper scope is far more important than good glass.

Agreed, it sure is nice to have both. Love your avatar by the way;) Can't go wrong with German optics and a fine English rifle hehe.

NICE RIG!

i went the economy route. she still pulls respectable groups.

The real AI really shows its quality when you start reaching out past 300.

which country do you think had the best scope in WW 2?
TORNADO

The best sniping scopes of Ww2 are without any doubt the No32mkII and No32Mk3 scopes used on the No4 Lee Enfield sniper.

Repeatable 1 moa windage and elevation adjustments which are zero stop and tactile clicks. The scopes are cammed to 1000 yards for Mk7. 303 ball.

The 3.2x scopes were designed to be use able in total darkness by a trained sniper.

No significant mechanical improvement other than magnification existed in sniping scopes until the 1980s.

Anyone who says that the No32 glass suffers in comparison to contemporary german glass has not compared the 2.
