Hey guys-hoping to tap into the collective experience here on CGN..and find a few good ideas. I have too many choke tubes in too many places, and only one cruddy choke tube case. Go hunting/shooting...take out whatever tubes where in there, put the ones I need in..etc. A plastic/clam shell thing with foam on one side=all I have. I've been thinking a bit about it lately, and see no advantage to having separate cases for the various tubes, when choke tubes are small..and really...only talking about maybe a dozen tubes/couple of wrench types. No big issue taking my 12ga tubes with me when I'm using the 20, etc.

Due to the distances I drive, I've also discovered that plastic cases with metal parts in them rattle. Allot. Moving towards soft cases whenever I'm due for something new, so, I'm wondering if any of you can recommend a soft/zippered choke tube case that would solve this little dilemma?

What do you guys use? Any of you have all of your tubes in one case? Photos/links welcome!

thanks

I've seen custom designed soft-shell tube cases that can be mounted on your belt and looking on the Cabelas page I further see they hold up to 6 tubes. You seem to have more though, so how about a neoprene shot shell carrying belt? I have one that would work for the purpose and being stretchy will supposedly will hold 20 G as well as 12.

I have choke tubes with 3 different thread patterns (Mobil choke, Mossberg accu-choke and Mossberg accu-mag). I have 3 of the plastic clamshell cases you described. I prefer to keep them separated like that. If you put thicker foam in your existing case or a second piece of foam on top of the tubes, it should eliminate the rattle.

Hmmm, the shot shell belts I referred to aren't expensive, perhaps a person could cut one up and put the sections inside a single hard case? That way gauges and makes could be kept together but separately.

Allen makes a soft case that holds 6 tubes in individual elastic rings. It also has a pouch on the outside to hold a choke key. Google "Allen Eliminator" choke case.

Thanks javman-that's actually the one I've sort of honed-in on. Price is fair too.

Thanks EVERYone for the input!

I have several of these work awesome .I just label them with a black marker has to what chokes they contain .

Ai yi, you were looking for a way to carry a lot more tubes all in one place, were you not?

Yes, but I want them in a case that'll zip shut or close, and keep dust/dirt out. It's why I wouldn't opt for a belt, or anything along those lines.

Thanks again everyone, likely the zippered Allen...or I'll make on of my own. :)

Outside the box thinking as i also love knives. Spyderco makes a knife wallet. A large with 32 and a small with 18 pockets. Its a trifold design. I dont have one myself yet but it could work. Each sleeve could house a choke and you could easily make labels to know which is which. Warriors and wonders sells them in the spyderco section
