I will start reloading 30-30 eventually, just need to get the dies etc. In the meantime, where do you all get your 30-30 range ammo? I’ve checked out several places and I get it’s not cheap, was curious if I missed something before I order!

You make it. 160 gr lead and 1.6cc lee dipper of 4895. No kick and you can shoot it all day out to hundred. As for cheap ammo, Wal-Mart is 5 bucks cheaper than everyone else for 30-30 ammo around here. 150 gr go for 17 bucks.

Military surplus is the only cheap ammo out there and the 30-30 doesn't qualify. Start reloading sooner than later and enjoy those benefits.

Cabela's has this green box Stuff they recently brought in for just less then $20 a box. Hertzer I think is the name.
I shot a box last week, seems reasonable and went bang every time.

Nice I’ll check out my Walmart.

I don’t like to buy brass- I buy brass cased ammo to collect my brass to reload- more fun :)

i reload berry's 150gr FN over 17gr of imr4227 COAL IS 2.480. averages 1650 fps from my marlin 336 DARK. shots .5 inch groups at the 50 yards.
load shoots 2inch lower than my 170gr fusion.

I'm happy, very light recoil, way quiter, and cost about .30 a round to load.
