Best spotting scope around a grand?

Title says it all, looking for something clear to see little holes at 200 yards. Kowa 601 series looks promising. Love to have a Swarovski 95mm etc, but not for 4K

Had the chanceto play around with Pentax 80ED... it was very nice!

I used to have a Minox MD62 ED that was very impressive for its price.

You wont go wrong with a Kowa; and "IF" you find a better product ever.... you will sell a Kowa quick. I have had/have very good Pentax and Minox optics ... over the years... so those firms know how to produce excellent quality for sure. For a shooter -- it is hard to beat the Kowa scopes.

There was one in the EE recently, probably still there. With the eyepiece a new one wouldn't leave you change from $1k. At the used price if it hasn't been damaged it's a very good deal.
