I'm in a pickle guys.... My gunsmith cannot do bluing at this time. I cannot locate anyone in my area that does reputable Cerakote or Gun-Kote work. I don't have an oven large enough to bake on these type of finishes, so that leaves me with a paint-like application only. Not what I want, but I don't have a choice.

What are the best matte black products to use? Duracoat? Krylon? Dupli-color 1200?

Thanks in advance!

I've always liked Dura-coat, but good luck finding it in Canada. Last time I needed some I even called Lauer in the states. They won't even send it up here anymore. Apparently they're working on an "exclusive" deal with a retailer. I don't have a problem with that, but they've been working on it for over a year now

I'm now looking at Arma-coat. I can get it kinda locally and seems to have good reviews. I'm also thinking about Cera-coat, but as has been asked: where can you get an air dry Cera-coat?

Light sand blast the finish.
Then spray cerakote and oven bake for real durable matte finish.
I did it on a CZ858 many moons ago.
Never used a no bake variation but the bake finish was amazing. Was skeptical but very impressed.

I've used Arma-cote, it works rather well. My skills are not that great, so I hire out the work.

Cerakote BC (business member on CGN) gets all my Cerakote work. I have tried 5 different businesses that do Cerakote. I will only reccomend one.
