"Best" stripped lower?

I know "best" is a very subjective word in terms of AR builds.

Ideally I would like to find two stripped lower available in Canada (dedicated 9mm and .223/5.56mm), install my own LPK (Daniels Defense?) and Vltor modstock.

Quality and maximum compatibility are a must.

Lone Wolf or RRA from Questar for the 9mm upper?

Thanks ahead of time!

Usually a lower is a lower in the AR world. I would recommend the Aero Precision lower from Arms East. It is quality and the cheapest around.

Daniel Defense is a great choice for a lower parts kit. Unless you already have a line on the Vltor Mod stock, they can be difficult to find.

The correct Vltor 5 Posn tube can be had from Brownells for a fairly good price.

Spikes lowers are ok. I would avoid the red/white colour fill as it looks stupid, but otherwise the fit finish is ok.

Big difference between Aero's 7071 aluminum and Stags 7075?

No such thing as 7071 aluminum, there's 6061 and 7075.

Theoretically the 7075-T6 should last longer then a 6061-T6 as the 7075 is a harder alloy. In practice it shouldn't matter that much, since the lower shouldn't be bearing enough force to deform the aluminum inside of few ten thousand rounds. By then you've spent nearly 3 or 4 times the cost of the rifle in ammunition.

What's probably more important is the coating of the aluminum; a good high quality finish (most lowers I know are type 3 hard anodized) will prevent abnormal wear and tear on the lower throughout it's lifetime.

Edit: Aero precision is a 7075-T6 forging.
