Geiselle, Timney, or JP triggers.... Im looking at getting a smoother pull for a couple of my AR's (7.5 and 10.5 so i dont need a precision setup), as both are really heavy and rough.

I think around 3-5 lb pull would be ideal. I wont be using either for 3-gun, the 10.5 is just a plinker and the 7.5 is set-up more like a PDW.

thanks in advance.

I own a pile of Geiselle triggers. Mostly SSA-E's. Nice short first stage, super crisp second stage. Probably the most versatile trigger on the market.

I much prefer 2-stage triggers over 1-stage. It's easier to increase finger pressure from 20% to 30% than it is to go from 0% to 10% (control-wise).

My JP trigger is 3.0 lbs and does just fine for me. I believe they are quite a bit cheaper than drop in kits as well.

I have a Geissele SSA. They call it a LE/Mil trigger. Basically one step up from a standard trigger. 2 stage, 2.5Lbs 1st stage, 2.0Lbs 2nd stage. It is smooth and breaks wonderfully. Sounds about what you are looking for.

Edit: Wrong words

Geissele for sure (it's what I use in my main rifles) but cheaper triggers that are pretty good are ALG Combat (tuned by Geissele) and Spikes Battle Trigger. I've shot rifles with each and they're surprisingly good.

I dunno all personal preference right? Im taking out my SSA-E Giessele and going back to the 3lb Timney, just for "me" feels better. :)

I put a Geissele Hi-Speed National Match - Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) Trigger trigger in my PWS AR-15.. All i can say is WOW!!!!! Amazing trigger.. It is a two stage trigger with both stages adjustable. You will never regret it.. Got it from ARMS EAST...

my Geissele 3 gun trigger is money....it's so smooth. Kind of like shooting with a tuned 1911 trigger! The reset is amazing.

i have not tried the timely or gissel only the jp enterprise and i have to say i like it alot waiting for crafm to get some in and ill add that as the last addon to my ar15( wow im getting a bad cause of deja view again)

it get's expensive but it's one of the best upgrades for an AR...thinking about it my trigger costs almost double my lower receiver!!
