I am looking to pick up some duracoat, arma-coat or anyone of those other coatings and was wondering what type of airbrush/compressor would be the best? I am looking to be able to do a few guns and have a kit that is durable and good quality so that I can depend on it for the next few years.

Any ideas?

tried one gravity feed from princess auto and throw it in garbage
got one last year from brownells, suction type and it works good with armacoat #697-105-000
I use it around 25 psi
cleaning with acetone is very easy

As stated, keep the air pressure at around 25 to 30 and also have a bottle of acetone or methyl hydrate ready to pop on and clean the gun otherwise it will gum up solid.
The siphon type work best but once you get the hang of a gravity gun they will also do a good job but they don't hold much paint. There are a number of air brushes around in the 20.00 range and if only using it occasionally they will do a good job. Just have all your paint and cleaner ready to go and also have some decent ventilation or you will kill your self from the fine mist.

Wheaty is definitely right, that stuff is seriously toxic! You need a paint hood that actively draws the air away, or do it outside with a mask.

yes
I didn't say nothing about it because it wasn't in the question, but make sure you use a respirator with proper cartridges for chemical vapors
and when you start to smell the vapors in the mask, replace the filter cartridges

Great input guys. I will check into as I have no idea about airbrushes, however it's good to know this stuff is toxic..

I use the badger airbrush, it works flawlessly (higher end single shot airbrush) you can get fancier ones that artists use to do customer airbrush jobs. But if you are like me you are just coating the guns in one consistent color it works amazingly well. Any little air compressor will work just make sure you have the regulator on it and appropriate parts that remove water condensation. The previous comments about the PSI are totally correct.

I did a lot of research before doing any refinishing. Don't cheap out or the paint will spotch up and you will have to sandblast and reparkerize, basically do full prep work all over again.
