Best under $300 "life time warranty" 1" scope?

Another good option is a used Leupold VX-1 Rimfire 2-7x28. They pop up on EE every once in a while for under $300 (new is about $330 now a days). I have two of them and love the quality of the glass.

Used Leupold.

I also heard good things about that Sightron S1-Tac but its only a 3-9X.
Personaly, I like a little more magnification at the range.
Should be OK for field use.

Redfield ( Leupold ) Revolution is also a good value.

Just make sure you know where your used Leupold was originally purchased from.
Leupold Canada is not covering warranty repairs on scopes purchased from non authorized dealers.
From Leupold Canada:

WARNING! "LEUPOLD WARRANTY FOR CANADA. ALL SCOPES MUST BE PURCHASED FROM AN AUTHORIZED LEUPOLD CANADIAN DEALER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR WARRANTY REPAIRS AT OUR CANADIAN LOCATION. PLEASE VISIT OUR DEALER LOCATOR TO FIND THE AUTHORIZED DEALER NEAREST YOU!”

Three hundred $$ will buy you a decent used Leupold off the EE.
There is a used one that was up for grabs in a five EE sale.
Last one left last time I checked.

If you want to be sure, just ask the seller the serial number of the scope then call Korth.
They will tell you right away if its covered by Canadian waranty.

Nikon or Burris have a number of offerings in your price range.

Both have "forever, no fault warranties" - even if you break it by dropping it and both warranties are transferable to any future owner. The latter may or may not be important to you, but helps if you wish to sell it later.

The Bushnell scopes have a fantastic warranty.

I'm on my third "no questions asked Bushnell". Straight exchange at their outlet in Markham. The downside is I've probably spent more on gas driving there and ammo sighting in than the original purchase price lol.

And a quick check shows that Bushnell has now jumped on the "no fault" bandwagon with rifle scopes:

Bushnell's No Questions Asked Lifetime Warranty Promise
We’re proud to guarantee your complete satisfaction, and promise to repair or replace your product and ship it back to you at absolutely no charge. This fully transferable warranty covers accidental damage, as well as any defects in materials and workmanship, for the life of the product. *

But, take note of that star (*)

* This warranty is valid for qualifying products within Bushnell Elite Tactical, Elite, Legend, Trophy Xtreme, and Trophy Riflescopes, Binoculars, and Spotting Scopes purchased after January 1st, 2016. This warranty excludes electronic components, cosmetic damage that does not affect the product’s operation or performance (as determined by Bushnell), loss, theft, and damage as a result of unauthorized repair, modification, or disassembly by someone other than a Bushnell Authorized Service Department. Bushnell will, at our option, repair or replace the product with one of equal or similar value and/or specifications.

So if you buy used, it better be "like 2016 used" or you are still on your own with a non-transferable warranty.
