best way to block mag to 5

What the best way to block a fn 49 mag to five? If I use a rivet I don't think the mag will go in the well( it pretty tight). How are yours done? Thanks in adavnce for any suggestions.

I'm not sure how the FN49 mag is constructed but if it has a wire mag spring it may be possible to attach a piece to the bottom of the follower to limit it's downward movement. Of course with a leaf spring this won't be possible.

my fn-49 is the 8mm egyptian version and it is pinned, but that is how i recieved it. it is pinned to the rh side of the mag groove on the trigger end of the mag/box. if i was going to do it myself i would consider using the method marstar uses on the sks. basically its a metal block epoxied into the bottom of the mag. if you do it that way make sure the spring can move freely.

Well a 3/8 bolt glued to the underside of the follower did the trick.
