so let me start from the beginning. ive always wanted to get into long range shooting and ive heard from multiple sources one of the best starting calibers is 308 so i went and picked myself up a remington 700 tactical in 308. i dropped a triggertech trigger into it and got myself a leupold vx3i 6.5x20 for the top. now the hogue overmold stock that came with it felt like a toy so i found a bell and carlson stock in the classifieds on here for it which feels a million times better. now my question. where do i go from here? keep in mind im on a fairly tight budget and don't have tons of money to play with but i always like upgrading and going bigger and better

Join your local Provincial Rifle Association and go out to practices and matches. Talk to the shooters there about reloading, shooting position, trigger control, wind reading, equipment etc.

Develop a good load with a high BC bullet (under half MOA). Buy the SHOOTER APP and plug in all your info. Go out and see if your drops are good. Chronograph load first is easier to plug numbers into SHOOTER. Now you can start fine tuning the info in your shooting program. All this info must be spot on for the program to work. Don't be in a rush as this may take many outings to the range to get working perfectly. Have fun and be careful. This is an addiction!
