Hey guys, I want to get a sling for my Tavor. I'm likely going to go with the BFG vikers sling after hearing so many positive reviews on it.

Whats the best way to attach it to the Tavor while still being able to quickly remove it for storage or when I don't want to use it? I saw TVpresspass using a mash hook on the front with a paracord loop in the back in one of his blog posts about slings. It seems to work fairly well, but I don't think you can quickly remove the sling without untying the paracord knot?

Thanks.

Correct, you can easily disconnect the mash hook at the front end, but the back end...well if its desperate you cut the paracord! If you wanted more buckles and things you could put a detatch point on that right hand side attached to the paracord loop.

Alternately, lots of guys like the dust cover replacements with the QD mounts built into them. I don't care for this, but its a reasonable solution.

Or, you could use the mounting hardware from your factory "seatbelt sling" that would let you easily unclip from the paracord.

I personally use HK hooks front and back, with a paracord loop on the back. It seems to suit it's purpose well, but the Vickers sling is really what makes it great.
Truly the king of slings

I use an HK clip at the front and QD swivel at the rear.

Same setup here on the advice of some good guys on the forum. I alternate between a padded BFG Vickers and a Gear Dynamics sling(Canadian company, their stuff is pretty good). If you're interested OP, the QD part is a Mesa Tactical 870 receiver mount. I got my'n from DS tactical.

that store is about 10 minutes walk from my house, but ive been in there only twice, not my kind of store. too many "law enforcement" only products. I got cash, im a customer, I have my rpal, why cant i buy whatever is in your store?
I dont understand why...
Yep great store, lots of good stuff, helpful staff, but I won't spend my money there anymore.

Only selling items to law enforcement that civilians can legally own is something that I do not support.

FYI: Dave's offers a CGN discount to us members and outstanding customer service. To sling my Tavor I run a VCAS with a MASH hook in front and a QD push button swivel in the rear after installing the Mesa Tactical Rem 870 QD socket.

What won't they sell?
I don't know what else, but I wanted to buy some kind of armor a while back and they said they wouldn't sell to civilians even though it's perfectly legal.
No big deal though. Other places are willing to take my money.

x2 same thing with me! I found other places for much cheaper/better products and wayyyyy better attitudes!

every single type of body armor they carry they will not sell to a civilian even though it is 100% legal for civilian with a pal to purchase and own body armor in BC.

it like walking into a bar, showing your ID proving you are over 18 years of age and only being allowed to consume diet coke.

why?

no reason, they just dont want to, im not even sure its legal for them to refuse selling a product to a customer, if that customer is 100% legally allowed to purchase it.

sounds to me like they are only willing to do business with law enforcement only, being that only law enforcement and military should be allowed those products.

doesnt that argument sound really familiar???? like wtf!!!

To be fair, I'm pretty sure they have a contract with their distributor which forbids them from selling to civilians, but #### em. If they're willing to sign on to something like that, they can kiss my money goodbye.
