Best way to mount rail on the 10/21

I keep seeing people using locktight to mount, i hear its not recomended, whats the best way to get a scope mount on and stay on without striping my reciver.

I used blue lock tight on mine. Just kept coming loose without it. Apply just a little dab to the threads it will not drip into your receiver if you don`t use too much. Others may disagree but this has been my experience.

if you want you can be a bit more liberal with the lock tight just have the gun disassembled when you put the rail on. leave it to set for a day or so and then wipe off the excess from inside the receiver. you will never have issues with the screws coming loose.

Clear nail polish will work quite well without worrying about being able to unscrew them later.

never thought of that. whenever i wanted something permanent i used the red lock tight. nail polish has to be cheaper than that stuff.

Lock tight only costed me 7$ an i can think of a million other things to do with it
