Best way to remove M305 flash hider?

What is the best way to remove the Norc M14 flash hider? Heat it maybe? I seem to remember it is soldered on???

even don`t think about heating....you will heat the barrel as well, what is not a good thing.....

you have to remove the setscrew and drill the welds-take a look at the faq's

You can also cut the FS beside the welds with something like a dremmel and pry off the leftovers. It worked well for me. Mark

Depends if you want to save & re-use it.

If you want to re-use it, read the FAQ section and following the instructions on drilling out the welds.

I have tried several methods, and the drilling method followed by tapping the FH off works the best.Just remember to loosen the set screw on tyhe castlenut, and keep loosening the castlenut as the FH comes off.

Some just simply try to knock off the FH by hitting it with a hammer while loosening the castlenut.

If the welds are weak and not too deep, you can bang the FH off, but there is no consistency to the depth or quality of the welds.

You may end up destroying the FH as a result.

As I said earlier, I have tried most methods and the drilling,then hammer method works the best.
